When I made my second one I blocked the holes up too quickly so no more mixture could get in and so my waffle was thin and lacey with holes. More worryingly the instructions clearly tell you to use the locking clasp to lock the waffle maker in place. I was able to create a range of new recipes, both savoury and sweet, so it ticked the versatility box. I made the assumption that it was 150ml oil, along with the 100ml of water for 100g of mixture, but I’m not sure if that was right.Also I noticed there is some vaper behind the LED lights, not sure if this is normal or if I should be worried? I really wanted a nice thick big waffle, this machine looked like it will do the job, so far have used it 3 times, it's ok but not great, the waffles are not even, while one side will be ok the rest might not be, have to fill it way too much to each nice even waffle and it starts to come out from the top, then it's hard to remove the waffle and the top bit is hard to clean.

Using melted butter also ensures, that as it cools on the cold waffle plates, you can see if you have evenly covered the plates.

LARGE RECTANGULAR WAFFLES – This double waffle maker cooks two large waffles that have nice, thick edges and deep holes to hold your fruit or ice cream toppings. Once you have made your first two waffles you can slightly adjust the amount of batter added to the waffle plates. It is supposed to come on when the plates have reached sufficient heat, instead my light came on as soon as the machine was plugged in then after a few minutes went off?
