Ritchie hallmarks in what amounts to a reasonably good facsimile of the familiar fare. The film is based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by All Aboard the Pain Train Stunts (HD, 5 Mins.) - The stuntwork is given some more time as everyone rehearses and performs in limited spaces. A limited edition collectors booklet featuring a new essay by film writer Barry Forshaw [2000 copies] The booklet has Barry Forshaw provide an essay that’s broken into several sections, opening with an overview of the production before looking at the lead players, studio and director, individually. It’s a strong coverall addition to the set.

Bullet Train is presented in 2160p with Dolby Vision/HDR10 High Dynamic Range color (supported on 4k HDR TVs) from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. There are many trinkets in this film that pop up here and there, making a second watch worthwhile. For example, an escaped deadly poisonous snake on the local news later ends up on the train and actually becomes an interesting thread in the plot. And, a costumed train mascot (played by Zazie Beetz) that gets bullied early on by passengers turns out to be a lethal assassin named The Hornet. What’s also fun is the references to Thomas the Tank Engine made by the assassin Lemon, the “twin” brother of Tangerine played by Brian Tyree Henry.
