It is a different approach to reading about these illnesses as you look at it from a young girl's point of view who has to watch as other people suffer. Original, emotional, and deeply, deeply sensitive Westcott has crafted a novel that stays with the reader for all the right reasons.

It’s taken me years to finish this book because it was very sad but honestly such a good story about learning to live after losing someone close.The author wrote her in an honest light and I appreciate that she let Liv ask questions that anyone grieving would ask, and that she didn't shy away from tackling some difficult questions.
