Wyatt was solid book boyfriend material, not as caveman Alpha as I usually like, but a guy who definitely saw he had a good thing and took his time getting the H there. I really liked him and his relationship with Prissy made me love him. I was grateful that this author didn't throw in a foolish separation because it pisses me off generally but especially in single parent books when the child is involved, since there's none of that here it bumped my rating even higher
The whole story had me rolling on the floor laughing my Ass off. Smartest, wittiest banter with some outrageous situations that heather conjures in her over fertile brain, had me in splits!! Wyatt Landry is the honed and toned construction worker working on repairs at the Chapel/funeral home, run by Miss Priss's sexy mom, Whitney Jean. They have history together and thanks to Priss, they will have a future too. Mourning Wood was a fun read. I was a little surprised when I met the characters at a funeral home, but my bad, I didn't have read the blurb before to start the book and I absolutely didn't have understood the title...don't know why but the pieces to solve the puzzle were all there. Jeff Hays' performance was outstanding, it really suited the book. He had great comedic timing and just delivered those deadpan lines perfectly. He performed different voices for each character, including female voices, and there were some awesome sound effects. It just brought the whole thing up a notch, the book would have been a fun read, but the narration made it a hilarious listen. This system is active while you are sleeping, especially during REM. You may actually get more than one erection each night, but notice them most when you are closer to waking in the morning.
